How they float
Buoyancy is designed into each model. Many frames are recycled HDPE, which is lighter than water. Bermuda, Venezia, Cyprus and Biarritz Kids carry floaters inside the arms, and most models ship with an extra floater that slides onto the strap. Read why it matters in Why Ocean sunglasses float.
Choosing a pair
For kite and wing, a wraparound shape and a secure strap matter most: Race, Jeri and Leucate are built for it. For sailing and long days on deck, a classic full frame such as Lake Garda, Aruba or Fuerteventura is easier to live with. If the light changes a lot where you ride, choose a photochromic lens.
