What a session asks for
Wind pushes air behind the lens and spray lands on it every few seconds. You look up at the kite or the wing, down at the water and across at other riders. A good pair has to seal against the face, shed water, stay on after a crash and float if it doesn't.
Sunglasses or goggles
Sunglasses are lighter and ventilate better in warm water. Goggles such as Teide Water and La Ventana seal completely, which helps in cold wind and heavy spray, and they float too.
